How the inburgering practice exam works.

The inburgeringsexamen is a fixed test: the same parts, the same kinds of questions, every time. That is good news, because it means you can practise for exactly what it asks. These practice exams mirror the real format, so the question types and the timing stop being a surprise.

Each part has its own practice exam: Reading (Lezen), Listening (Luisteren), Writing (Schrijven), Speaking (Spreken) and KNM. You can do one full practice exam per part for free and see your score. The course adds the rest of the exams and unlimited practice across every part.

Not sure of your level? Most people sit A2 or B1. Start with your level below, or read more on the course pages.

These practice exams are part of the full inburgeringscursus. Want the whole course instead? See the inburgering A2 course or the inburgering B1 course.

Frequently asked questions about the inburgering practice exam

Yes. You can do one full practice exam per part for free and see your score. The course unlocks everything after that: every exam, all the practice questions, and the explanation behind each part and theme, so you can keep going until you are ready.

No, and nobody honest has the real questions. These are exam-style questions that mirror the format and task types DUO uses, so you practise the real shape of the exam, not the exact items.

Four language parts, Reading (Lezen), Listening (Luisteren), Writing (Schrijven) and Speaking (Spreken), plus KNM (Kennis van de Nederlandse Maatschappij). Under the current Wet inburgering 2021 the standard level is B1, with A2 as the fall-back route. Pick your level (A2 or B1) here, then the part.

It depends on the route. The A2 language parts are marked as a raw score: how many questions you got right, so X out of Y. The B1 route runs through the Staatsexamen NT2, where each part gets a scaled skill score and you pass at 500. Our practice exams show the matching kind of score per part.

You can start a free practice exam right away. The course, which unlocks the rest, is where you sign up. There is a 14-day money-back guarantee.
