Inburgering A2 writing practice exam, the real Schrijven tasks.

This is the writing part of the inburgeringsexamen, and you do it with pen and paper. You get 40 minutes for four tasks, such as filling in a form with your own details and writing a short letter or a brief reply in everyday Dutch. You are not writing essays. The tasks are short and practical, the kind of writing daily life in the Netherlands actually asks of you.

The inburgeringsexamen gives you a raw score, so many points out of the total for the part, not a 500 skill score like the Staatsexamen NT2. What decides that score is whether you did what each task asked and wrote clearly enough to be understood. Filling the form in completely and covering every point matters more than long sentences. Practise the exact task types, the form and the short letter, rather than long writing you will not be asked for. Write a full answer, then check it against the task: did you cover every point, are the details right, is the form complete. Because the exam is on paper, get used to writing by hand under time. That habit is what the practice exam builds.
