This privacy statement explains what personal data Inburgeringscursus.nl collects through this website, why, and what your rights are. We keep it in plain language on purpose. If anything is unclear, email us at info@inburgeringscursus.nl.
This statement covers the marketing website (inburgeringscursus.nl). The app where you practise and pay (app.inburgeringscursus.nl) has its own privacy statement, because it handles your account and payment data.
Who we are
OBH Media, trading as Inburgeringscursus.nl and established at Walnootstraat 1, 2871 RX Schoonhoven (KvK 96292695), is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at info@inburgeringscursus.nl.
What data we collect on this website
- Contact data. If you email us or use our contact form, we receive your name, your email address, and whatever you write to us.
- Practice-result email. If you ask us to email you a plan for your practice-exam result, we receive your email address and the result you just made (the exam level, part, score, and which area was weakest). We use this to send you that plan.
- Usage and device data. When you visit, we and our analytics providers may collect your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and how you arrived (for example, which search or advertisement). This happens through cookies and similar technologies, and only after you agree to them. See our cookie policy.
We do not handle your payment or account data on this website. That happens in the app.
Why we use it, and the legal basis
- To answer you. When you contact us by email or form, we use your details to reply. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in helping you, or taking steps at your request before a possible agreement.
- To send your practice-result plan. When you ask for a plan by email, we use your address and result to send it, and we may occasionally follow up with tips about inburgeren. Legal basis: your consent, which you give when you submit the form. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To understand and improve the site. We use analytics to see which pages help and which don't. Legal basis: your consent, given through the cookie banner.
- To measure our advertising. We measure which campaigns lead to sign-ups, so we don't waste budget. Legal basis: your consent.
Who we share it with
We use third parties that process data on our behalf ("processors"), each under a processing agreement:
- Google Ireland Ltd. for website statistics (Google Analytics) and advertising measurement (Google Ads).
- Google (Firebase) as our hosting provider, which stores and serves the website, and which stores the practice-result email requests (Firestore).
- Resend as our email provider, which delivers the practice-result plan to your inbox.
These providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, it is covered by the appropriate safeguards (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses). We do not sell your personal data.
How long we keep it
- Contact messages: for as long as needed to handle your question and any follow-up, then deleted.
- Practice-result email requests: kept while you are subscribed to our tips. When you unsubscribe, we remove your address from the mailing list.
- Analytics data: retained for 14 months in Google Analytics, after which it is automatically removed.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to:
- see the personal data we hold about you;
- correct or delete it;
- limit or object to how we use it;
- receive a copy (data portability);
- withdraw your consent for cookies at any time.
