The A2 listening part (Luisteren) plays you short spoken fragments and a short video clip: a phone message, an announcement, two people talking, a clip from daily life. After each one you answer multiple-choice questions about what you heard. The Dutch is everyday and clearly spoken, but it plays at normal speed, so the skill is catching the key fact while you listen. You get 45 minutes for the A2 part.
Listening is hard to fake by reading, so the only real practice is hearing exam-style audio under exam timing. Read the question before the fragment plays, then listen for the one detail it asks about. Our practice exam uses real spoken fragments and the same multiple-choice format so the pace feels familiar on the day.

The A2 listening part is part of the inburgeringsexamen and runs on a computer. You hear short spoken fragments and a few short video clips: a phone message, an announcement, two people talking, a clip from daily life. After each one you answer multiple-choice questions about what you heard. The Dutch is everyday and clearly spoken, but it plays at normal speed. You get 45 minutes for this part.
A2 listening is scored as a raw result: how many of the questions you got right, shown as X of Y. It is not the 500-point skill score used at B1 and B2, so you can read it directly. Our practice exam shows that same raw score and marks which fragments you missed, so you know what to work on.
In our practice exam each fragment plays twice, so the skill is catching the key fact within those two listens. That is how our practice works, not an official rule, so check DUO for exactly how the real exam plays its audio. Either way, read the question before the fragment starts and listen for the one detail it asks about.
Practise with real spoken audio at normal speed, not slowed-down recordings, because that is what the exam uses. Train yourself to read the question first and listen for the answer, instead of trying to follow every word. Doing full practice exams under the clock is what builds that habit.
